FourTwoFive Films, partnered by veteran producer-writer-director Bruce Reisman, and “younger” visionary, actor-writer-painter Kris Black, was formed to produce independent motion picture projects.

Reisman, who sold his first script at the age of 12, has served as writer-producer on many popular classic TV series, including “ChiPs”, “The Fall Guy”, “T.J. Hooker”, “Tour of Duty”, and “The Young Riders”, for which he was inducted into the National Cowboy Hall of Fame.

Also a prolific and award-winning playwright, Bruce was called “the Mike Nichols of equity-waiver theatre” by the late, great actor and coach, Jeff Corey; with whom Bruce studied with in his 20’s.

Before joining forces with Kris Black, Bruce continued to write TV movies and was called upon as “script doctor” for many of the top TV dramas; but it was time to “get back into production and control my own career”.

Prior to forming their own company, Reisman and Black wrote TV movies for Lifetime and CBS, and were hired as a free-lance writing team to pen scripts for other producers and companies. That’s when they decided to make their own movies.

With little start-up money, FourTwoFive Films opened its doors, and within a few months, had gained financing for their first project, “The House That Jack Built”. Completed in Spring 2009, and picking up “excitement” and “heat” by way of the Internet, Bruce and Kris are forging ahead with their next project… a more ambitious one.

“Five Good Years”.

Written by Reisman and Black, this Capra-esque American drama tells the story of a young West Virginia coal miner, Alex Winston, forced into becoming a “human punching bag” to pay medical bills for his gravely ill mother.
As Alex (played by Black) trains and climbs his way up the rickety-ladder of the boxing world, he inadvertently becomes an American hero, as the “whole world is watching” this determined young man fight his way to the top… to save his mother’s life.
To be directed by Reisman, “Five Good Years” is set to begin principal photography in late 2009, in Detroit.

Also on their slate is “Boarding School”, another thriller in the “Jack Built” vein, to be directed by hot young director, Hank Braxtan. Black will also star in the script, written by he and Reisman; with Reisman producing.

In early 2010, look for Kris Black to make his directorial debut with “4:20”, a wild youth comedy in that takes the formula of smash hits like “Superb Bad” and “The Hangover” with a script co-written by Black and Bruce Reisman. Told within a 24 hour period, two “party-hearty” guys have just one day to gather as much medicinal marijuana as they can, legally, before the California state law permitting legal use of hemp is rebuked. Bruce Reisman will be producing the fearless, funny, fast-paced comedy.

Down the line in 2010 is “From Sea To Shining”, an even more ambitious story of one man’s journey across the country in a wheel-chair. Written by and to be directed by Reisman, this small, but epic tale keeps in line with FourTwoFive’s ambition to produce “human stories” that touch the heart, and raise audiences to both their feet and to tears.
